Using Item Inquiry

All of the functions found in Item Inquiry are also found in the Item option. The links below will bring you to the appropriate link in Item.

When you first enter the Item Inquiry option a Select An Option window will appear with the following options:

• EXIT – Select Exit to return to the Inventory menu.
• ADD – Select ADD to add a new item.
• FIND – Select FIND to find an item using a search by item group code.
• REPLICATE – Select REPLICATE to add a new item by replicating an existing item.
• QUICK MAINTENANCE – Select QUICK MAINTENANCE to access and quickly change field values for groups of items.
• ITEM DEFAULTS – Select ITEM DEFAULTS to define the data that will default into items when they are added.
• PRINT ITEM LIST – Select PRINT ITEM LIST to print a list of items.

To view an item scroll through the items listed in the Select An Option window and press Enter on the appropriate item or select FIND. See Navigating Net Yield - Selecting an Item Code.

Command options will not be functional if you do not have rights to Item. See Item for more information.

Note: The user must have rights to Item in order to make changes to items using Item Inquiry. The following message, “Insufficient Rights for this option !!! Space bar to continue “ will appear if the user tries to access a function for which they do not have the proper security view.
